Is the action of municipalities in organising the collection, discharge and treatment of wastewater economic and focused on protecting the environment against harmful effect of human wastewater? The answers to this question were in the focus of the attention for the participants of the discussion about the efficiency of wastewater management in the municipalities of Latvia. The discussion was organised on September 14th, 2020 by the State Control on the event of making public their findings on the topic.
The LIFE GOODWATER IP project manager Linda Fībiga as well Sandis Dejus, the Executive Director of the LIFE GOODWATER IP project partner Latvian Water and Waste Water Works Management Association both participated in this discussion side by side with the Minister of Environmental Protection and Rural development Juris Pūce, the Head of the State Control Elita Krūmiņa and Edgars Korčagins, the Head of the Revision Department of the State Control.
